The Roots Collection is a conversation between origin and evolution. Grounded in African heritage and expressed through contemporary design, this collection connects ancestral identity with modern diasporian living, where culture travels, adapts, and endures.

My life’s rich journey has influenced this collection. The Roots Collection features some of our initial designs that drew you to Marijays. It has a multi-faceted feel making it various collections in one collection.

This collection features lots of Kimonos in various shapes and sizes as we know you love them.

We want you to wear African Print to work so there is a lot of emphasis on African Print business casual dresses. We have mixed our dresses sometimes with crepe and other times with gingham amongst others to create exciting never before seen pieces.

We as usual have the “Rich Aunty Vibes” which signals maturity and authority plus we have an array of “Vacay wear”! We know holidays are essential and we have curated some exciting pieces for you. Do take us on your holiday and send in pictures!

One of our busiest periods is the Black History Month and so we have stocked various pieces that you can wear to showcase your culture and identity.

Each garment in the Roots Collection reflects a dual belonging, strongly rooted in Africa, yet shaped by the global experience of its people.
